Wishing Wall

The Wailing Wall collects ton of paper – visitors write their wishes on small paper notes and stick them to the wall, in hopes that their messages reach heaven and get heard. You might have a romantic idea that the notes are left there till they naturally wither, but in reality they are regularly cleaned up by non-Jewish workers hired specifically for the task.
