This is a remarkable little piece of equipment: when negotiations were in process about the division and maintenance of the church, an agreement had been reached that not a single thing would be changed, moved or otherwise altered once the agreement is sealed. It just so happened that during that time someone forgot a ladder on one fo the windows. In the spirit of preserving the agreement, no one had touched that ladder ever since, and it is bound to one day fully rot and fall onto some visitor’s head in its own time…
